Fingerprint Access Control Module Price in Pakistan: S0 to S4 Compared
Quick answer: At ZZ Marts, a fingerprint access control module (relay board) costs Rs 7,800 to Rs 11,500, and a card-and-NFC-only board costs Rs 6,200 (prices checked 3 November 2026). There are five models, from the base S0 to the top S4: the S0 (IC card and phone NFC, no fingerprint), S1 (fingerprint and IC card), S2 (fingerprint, IC card and phone NFC), S3 (the S2 with a larger rectangular sensor) and S4 (the S2 with a tougher metal-housing sensor). All five run on 12V to 120V DC and switch a lock or any load through a relay with NO and NC contacts. A complete fingerprint door with the S1, a 180kg magnetic lock, an exit button and a 12V adapter costs Rs 11,849.
Fingerprint access control module prices (S0 to S4)
| Model | How it opens | Fingerprint sensor | Fingerprints stored | Price (PKR) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S0 NFC + IC card board | IC card, phone NFC | None | — | 6,200 |
| S1 fingerprint + IC card board | Fingerprint, IC card | Standard module | 50 (upgradable to 300 or 500) | 7,800 |
| S2 fingerprint + NFC + IC card board | Fingerprint, IC card, phone NFC | Standard module | 50 (upgradable to 300 or 500) | 9,800 |
| S3 fingerprint + NFC + IC card board | Fingerprint, IC card, phone NFC | Larger rectangular sensor | 50 (upgradable to 300 or 500) | 10,500 |
| S4 fingerprint + NFC + IC card board | Fingerprint, IC card, phone NFC | Metal-housing round sensor with threaded barrel | 50 (upgradable to 300 or 500) | 11,500 |
The S1 to S4 also hold up to 10 admin fingerprints. Every board comes in its enclosure with an IC antenna and one blue IC key fob, and the S1 to S4 include the fingerprint reader module with its cable. See all access control in the access control collection.
What all five boards have in common
- Wide power input: any DC supply from 12V to 120V, so they run from an access-control power supply, a car battery or an industrial DC supply.
- Relay output with NO and NC contacts: switches a 12V magnetic lock, electric strike, drop bolt, gate, siren or appliance. The relay is rated 20A at 125V AC and 17A at 277V AC; have an electrician wire anything on mains power.
- Three output modes: self-locking (tap on, tap off), jog (opens, then closes again after a delay you set from 300 milliseconds to 15 minutes, 1 second by default) and inching (stays on only while the finger or card is held).
- Set up on the board itself: enrol and delete fingerprints and cards with the admin finger or card, with a buzzer and light confirming each step. No app or computer is needed.
Which one should you buy?
- Cards or phones only, lowest cost: the S0 (Rs 6,200). It suits staff doors where everyone carries a card or fob.
- Fingerprint for most users, cards for visitors: the S1 (Rs 7,800). Fingerprints cannot be lent or lost.
- Fingerprint plus phone NFC: the S2 (Rs 9,800). Phone NFC support depends on the phone, so try yours before relying on it, and keep the supplied fob as a backup.
- Busy doors and quicker finger placement: the S3 (Rs 10,500), with a larger rectangular sensor.
- Gate posts, panels and tougher spots: the S4 (Rs 11,500). Its metal round sensor is more weather-resistant than plastic readers and its threaded barrel mounts through a door, panel or gate post.
- Need PIN codes too? None of the five has a keypad. A wall terminal such as the ZKTeco X3 (Rs 8,800) opens by fingerprint, PIN or card.
Example: a complete fingerprint door
| Item | Price (PKR) |
|---|---|
| S1 fingerprint + IC card board | 7,800 |
| 180kg magnetic lock | 3,299 |
| Door exit button | 400 |
| 12V 1.67A power adapter | 350 |
| Total | 11,849 |
With the S2 instead, so phones with NFC can open the door too, the same door costs Rs 13,849. To keep the door working through load-shedding, power it from the ZZ-PS-5A backup supply (Rs 13,800 with a 7Ah battery) instead of the adapter. Glass doors and doors that open towards the lock need a bracket; see the magnetic lock installation guide.
How to wire it to a magnetic lock
- Power the board and the lock from the same 12V DC supply.
- For a magnetic lock or a fail-safe drop bolt, take the lock's positive wire through the relay's COM and NC terminals. The lock stays powered and locked, and a valid finger or card opens the contact and releases the door.
- For an electric strike that unlocks when powered, use COM and NO instead.
- Set the board to jog mode and choose how long the door stays released, for example a few seconds.
- Fit an exit button on the inside. A simple method that works with any of these boards is to wire the button's NC contact in series with the lock's power: pressing it cuts the power and opens the door.
- Enrol the admin finger or card first, then add each user, and test every finger, card and the exit button before you leave.
Magnetic locks are fail-safe: they open when the power goes, so nobody is locked in. That is also why backup power matters if the door must stay locked during load-shedding.
Extra cards and fobs
The boards read IC cards, the 13.56 MHz type, which is also the frequency phone NFC uses. Each board comes with one blue IC key fob. For more users, add MIFARE cards or MIFARE key tags at Rs 150 each. 125 kHz ID cards are a different type; if you are not sure which cards you already have, ask us before ordering.
Not just for doors
Because the output is a plain relay, the same boards can switch a gate motor input, a siren, a machine or an appliance, so that only an enrolled finger or card turns it on. Use self-locking mode for on/off control and inching mode for hold-to-run jobs, and keep within the relay rating.
Warranty: 1 year, not covering units that are burnt or physically damaged.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a fingerprint access control module in Pakistan?
At ZZ Marts, the S-series access control relay boards cost Rs 6,200 for the card-only S0, Rs 7,800 for the S1 with fingerprint and card, Rs 9,800 for the S2 with fingerprint, card and phone NFC, Rs 10,500 for the S3 with a larger rectangular sensor and Rs 11,500 for the S4 with a metal fingerprint sensor.
How many fingerprints can the S1 to S4 boards store?
50 fingerprints as standard, upgradable to 300 or 500, plus up to 10 admin fingerprints. They also store multiple IC cards alongside the fingerprints.
Can a fingerprint relay module open a magnetic lock?
Yes. The relay has both normally-open (NO) and normally-closed (NC) contacts, so it can switch a 12V magnetic lock, drop bolt or electric strike. A magnetic lock is wired through the NC contact, so a valid finger or card cuts its power and the door opens.
What voltage do the S-series boards need?
Any DC supply from 12V to 120V. Most door installations run the board and a 12V lock from one 12V supply.
Do these boards have a keypad or PIN code?
No. They open by fingerprint, IC card or phone NFC only. If you need PIN codes as well, choose a keypad terminal such as the ZKTeco X3 (Rs 8,800).
Which extra cards work with the S-series boards?
The boards read IC cards, the 13.56 MHz type, and each comes with one blue IC key fob. Extra MIFARE cards and key tags cost Rs 150 each at ZZ Marts. 125 kHz ID cards are a different type.
