Exit buttons in Pakistan start at Rs 1,499 for a stainless steel push-to-exit, Rs 1,999–3,699 for touchless infrared release, and Rs 1,999 for a key-operated switch. Every access-controlled door needs one: the reader controls who gets in, the exit button releases the door from inside. ZZ Marts stocks 12 exit devices with stores in Karachi and Lahore.

Choosing an exit device
This is the part people forget to order
A fingerprint reader, a maglock and a power supply arrive, the door gets fitted, and then nobody can get out without the reader. The exit button is not an accessory — on almost every access-controlled door it is a requirement, not an option.
Stainless steel is the default for a reason
A metal door release at Rs 1,499–2,399 survives years of being hit by knuckles, keys and trolleys. Plastic buttons cost a little less and crack at the mounting screws, usually within a year in a commercial doorway.
Touchless costs more and earns it in the right places
Infrared release buttons at Rs 1,999–3,699 open on a wave, with nothing to press. In clinics, labs, kitchens and anywhere hands are full or hygiene matters, that is worth the difference. In a private office it usually is not.
Key-operated buttons stop casual exits
The Rs 1,999 key switch releases the door only for someone holding the key. Use it on store rooms, server rooms and any door where people on the inside should not be able to simply walk out with something.
Match NO or NC to the lock, not to habit
Most exit buttons offer both. A magnetic lock is normally powered and needs the circuit broken to release, so it takes the NC contact. A drop bolt driven by a controller usually takes NO. Wiring the wrong contact leaves the door either permanently open or permanently shut.
Mount it where a hand naturally lands
Around 1.2 metres from the floor, on the handle side, within easy reach of the door. Mounted too far away, people prop the door instead — which quietly defeats the whole system.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an exit button if I already have a fingerprint reader?
Almost always yes. The reader authorises entry. Something has to release the door from inside, and on a maglock that means cutting power to it.
How much does an exit button cost in Pakistan?
Stainless steel push-to-exit buttons start at Rs 1,499, LED and curved models run Rs 1,599–2,399, key-operated switches Rs 1,999, and touchless infrared release buttons Rs 1,999–3,699.
What is the difference between NO and NC on an exit button?
Normally Open closes the circuit when pressed. Normally Closed breaks a circuit that is otherwise complete. Magnetic locks need NC because they hold while powered; most bolt locks driven by a controller use NO.
Are touchless exit buttons reliable?
Yes, within their detection range of roughly 5–15cm. They are unaffected by gloves, and the main installation mistake is mounting them where a passing person or an opening door triggers them.
What is a break-glass release and do I need one?
An emergency release that cuts lock power when the glass is broken or the lever pulled. Any door forming part of a fire escape route should have one. They are listed under Panic Buttons.
Can one exit button release two doors?
Only through a relay module rated for both locks. Wiring two locks directly to one button overloads the contacts.
