WiFi smart switches and breakers in Pakistan start around Rs 1,500 for an inline smart switch module and Rs 4,900 for a smart reclosing protector. ZZ Marts stocks Tuya, Smart Life and eWeLink compatible modules, 63A WiFi circuit breakers and reclosing protectors, with stores in Karachi and Lahore.
Buying guide
Modules or breakers — they solve different problems
Inline modules make an existing switch smart
A mini WiFi module fits behind the switch plate you already have, so the wall switch keeps working exactly as before and the app is added on top. That is usually cheaper and less disruptive than replacing every switch in the house, and it keeps the look of the room.
Count your channels before you buy
1CH, 2CH, 3CH and 4CH describe how many separate circuits the module controls. One module behind a three-gang plate needs three channels. Buying a 1CH for a multi-gang plate is the most common mistake here.
WiFi breakers are the genuinely Pakistani product
A smart reclosing protector monitors voltage and current, disconnects on over-voltage, under-voltage, overload and leakage, and then restores power by itself once the supply is stable again. On a grid that swings the way ours does, that protects appliances in a way an ordinary MCB simply cannot — and it means you are not driving home to flip a breaker.
Energy metering tells you where the bill goes
The metering versions of the 63A breaker report consumption per circuit in the app. Useful on a shop, a rented floor or anything you need to bill separately.
These are consumer-unit devices, not DIY
A 63A breaker sits in your distribution board and carries the whole load. Have a qualified electrician install it. The inline modules behind a switch plate are a different matter — most people manage those themselves, with the power off.
One ecosystem, one app
Tuya and Smart Life run the same platform and eWeLink devices sit alongside them comfortably. Staying inside one ecosystem is worth more than any single device feature, because it is what lets a breaker, a switch and a sensor trigger each other.
Frequently asked questions
What is a WiFi smart breaker and do I need one?
A circuit breaker that monitors voltage and current, disconnects during over-voltage, under-voltage, overload or leakage, and can restore power once conditions are safe. If your supply is unstable or you have expensive appliances, it pays for itself the first time it acts.
Do smart switch modules need a neutral wire?
Most do. Many older Pakistani homes have no neutral at the switch box, so open the plate and check before ordering.
How many channels do I need?
One channel per circuit you want to control. A three-gang light plate needs a 3CH module.
Will my lights still work if the internet drops?
Yes. The physical switch keeps working. Only app control, remote access and cloud automations stop.
Can I install a 63A smart breaker myself?
No. It sits in the distribution board and carries the full load of the circuit. Use a qualified electrician.
Are Tuya, Smart Life and eWeLink compatible with each other?
Tuya and Smart Life are the same platform and are interchangeable. eWeLink is separate but works alongside them, and both integrate with Google Home and Alexa.
