Buying guide

Choosing a cash counting machine

Value counting or mix-value counting

A value counter totals notes of one denomination you select. A mix-value counter reads each note's denomination itself, so mixed bundles are totalled in one pass. If your counter receives mixed cash all day, mix-value saves sorting by hand first.

More detection sensors catch more fakes

UV and magnetic checks catch most crude counterfeits. Infrared, metal-thread and colour sensors check features that are harder to copy. For banks, forex and high-value cash, the extra sensors are worth the difference in price.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a cash counting machine cost in Pakistan?

At ZZ Marts, the HT-8500 cash counting machine costs Rs 34,500 and the HT-5500 TFT costs Rs 38,500.

Which cash counting machine detects fake notes best?

The HT-5500 TFT checks each note with UV, magnetic, infrared, metal-thread, double-note and 3D colour sensors. The HT-8500 uses UV and magnetic detection. Both sound an alarm on a suspect note.

What is a mix-value counting machine?

A mix-value machine recognises each Pakistani denomination as it counts, so a mixed bundle of Rs 500, Rs 1,000 and Rs 5,000 notes is totalled in one pass. The HT-5500 does this; the HT-8500 totals value by a preset denomination.

How fast do these machines count?

Both count at 1,000 or more notes a minute, with a 300-note hopper and a 200-note stacker.

Do the machines come with a warranty?

Yes. Both carry the ZZ Marts warranty, with delivery across Pakistan and stores in Karachi and Lahore.
