RFID Card Price in Pakistan: 125 kHz vs MIFARE vs UHF (2026 Guide)
Quick answer: RFID cards in Pakistan cost Rs 100 at ZZ Marts for a standard 125 kHz proximity card or a MIFARE 13.56 MHz card, Rs 250 for an HID 125 kHz card, and Rs 150–199 for long-range UHF cards and windscreen stickers. Key fobs cost Rs 100 and silicone wristbands Rs 299. The most important rule: the card must match the frequency of your reader. A 125 kHz card will not open a MIFARE reader, and the reverse.

Which card does my reader need?
A reader only reads the frequency it was built for, so check before you buy:
- Read the label or menu. Readers, keypads and attendance machines usually say ID or EM for 125 kHz cards, and IC or MIFARE for 13.56 MHz cards. HID readers need HID cards.
- Test an existing card with a phone. Hold it against an Android phone with NFC switched on. If the phone reacts, the card is 13.56 MHz (MIFARE or NFC). If nothing happens, it is most likely 125 kHz.
- Still not sure? Send the machine's model number, or a photo of its label, on WhatsApp before you order.
Card, key fob, wristband or sticker?
- Card: standard credit-card size; fits a wallet or a staff ID holder.
- Key fob (keychain): same chip, harder to bend or lose; good for homes and apartment gates.
- Wristband: waterproof silicone; good for gyms, swimming pools and staff who need their hands free.
- Sticker: for vehicles. A UHF windscreen sticker lets a car through a gate barrier without stopping.
What RFID cards are used for in Pakistan
- Office and shop doors: a card reader or keypad with an electric or magnetic lock. See the access control system price guide.
- Staff attendance: employees tap a card on the attendance machine instead of signing a register.
- Apartments and housing societies: key fobs for the main gate and lift lobby.
- Hotels and hostels: card-operated room locks, usually 13.56 MHz.
- Parking and gated communities: UHF stickers with a gate barrier.
- Gyms and clubs: wristbands for entry and lockers.
Security: how safe is an RFID card?
A basic 125 kHz card only carries a fixed number, so it can be copied with an inexpensive duplicator. That is fine for low-risk doors, but for server rooms, cash rooms or main entrances, use MIFARE cards, add a PIN with a card-and-PIN keypad, or add fingerprint access. Whatever card you use, delete lost cards from the system straight away.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an RFID card cost in Pakistan?
At ZZ Marts, a 125 kHz RFID card costs Rs 100, a MIFARE 13.56 MHz card Rs 100, an HID 125 kHz card Rs 250, a UHF card Rs 150 and a UHF windscreen sticker Rs 199. Key fobs cost Rs 100 and silicone RFID wristbands Rs 299.
What is the difference between 125 kHz and MIFARE cards?
A 125 kHz card carries only a fixed ID number and is the cheapest and most common type. A MIFARE 1K card works at 13.56 MHz, has 1 KB of memory that can store data and is harder to copy. A reader only works with the frequency it was built for, so buy the type your reader uses.
Which RFID card works with my access control or attendance machine?
Check the reader or machine. A label or setting that says ID or EM means 125 kHz cards; IC or MIFARE means 13.56 MHz cards. If you are unsure, send the machine's model number or a photo of its label to ZZ Marts on WhatsApp before ordering.
What is a UHF RFID card or sticker used for?
UHF (860–960 MHz) tags are read from several metres away, so they are used for car parking and gate barriers: a sticker on the windscreen opens the barrier as the car approaches. They need a UHF reader; normal door readers cannot read them.
Can my phone read an RFID card?
Only 13.56 MHz cards. An NFC phone can detect MIFARE and NFC cards. It cannot read 125 kHz or UHF cards at all, which is also a quick way to tell them apart: if an Android phone with NFC reacts to the card, it is 13.56 MHz.
Can RFID cards be copied?
Basic 125 kHz ID cards only carry a fixed number and are easy to copy with cheap duplicators. MIFARE cards are harder to copy. For doors that need more security, combine the card with a PIN or fingerprint.
Where can I buy RFID cards in Karachi and Lahore?
From ZZ Marts (Zam Zam Traders), with stores in Saddar, Karachi and Garhi Shahu, Lahore, and delivery across Pakistan. For trade quantities, send the card type and quantity on WhatsApp.
