You can generally configure whether a circuit returns to its previous state or stays off after power is restored, which is worth setting deliberately, particularly for a pump you would not want starting unattended.

Accuracy of the metering. Treat the consumption figures as a very good guide for comparison and trend spotting rather than as a billing grade meter. Use scheduling and remote switching for loads where unattended operation is genuinely safe, and keep manual control where it is not.
