The Smart Digital Door Lock with Keypad & Fingerprint is a modern access control solution designed for enhanced security, convenience, and professional use. Featuring a touch-sensitive numeric keypad combined with biometric fingerprint recognition, this lock provides fast and secure access without traditional keys.
The fingerprint sensor ensures quick authentication, reducing waiting time and improving user experience. The touch keypad allows PIN-based access, making it ideal for environments where multiple users require controlled entry.
Its compact and stylish design blends well with modern interiors while offering strong security performance. This smart lock is widely used in offices, apartments, shops, server rooms, stores, rental properties, and restricted access doors.
Built for reliability, it supports daily high-traffic usage and integrates easily with electric locks, access control systems, and door automation setups.

Who this lock is for. This lock suits main entrance doors in homes, apartment flats, and small offices across Pakistan where keys are regularly lost, shared between family members, or copied by former staff. If you find yourself getting duplicate keys cut every time a relative visits, a maid changes, or an employee leaves, a fingerprint and PIN lock removes that problem permanently. It is also a practical choice for households with elderly parents or school-age children who struggle to keep track of keys, and for landlords who need to change access between tenants without paying a locksmith each time.
How access actually works day to day. Each person is enrolled once with their fingerprint, after which opening the door takes under a second with nothing to carry. The numeric keypad provides a second method, which matters more than people expect. Fingerprint reading can be unreliable on wet hands, on fingers worn smooth by manual work, or on very dry skin in winter, so having a PIN as a parallel method means nobody is ever stuck outside. Most families end up using fingerprints for household members and a PIN for occasional visitors.
Managing who has access. Enrolment is done through an administrator menu on the lock itself. You can add a fingerprint in under a minute and, just as importantly, delete one. This is the practical advantage over a mechanical lock: when a domestic worker, tenant, or employee leaves, you remove their fingerprint or change the PIN and the matter is finished. With a traditional lock you either trust that no copy was made or you replace the cylinder. For offices with staff turnover, this alone usually justifies the cost within a year.
Choosing a PIN sensibly. Avoid birth years, house numbers, and repeated digits. The touch surface is designed so that finger marks do not obviously reveal which digits are in use, but the habit of wiping the panel occasionally is still worth adopting. If you give a PIN to a delivery service or a contractor, change it once the work is finished rather than leaving it active indefinitely.
Door compatibility, measure before you order. The lock fits standard wooden doors and most metal doors, but three details decide whether it will fit yours. First, door thickness: measure the edge of the door with a tape, since very thin or unusually thick doors need confirmation. Second, the existing lock type, which will be either a mortise lock recessed into the door edge or a rim lock mounted on the surface. Third, the handing of the door, meaning whether it opens left or right and inward or outward. If you send our Karachi or Lahore staff a photograph of the door edge and the existing lock on WhatsApp, we will confirm compatibility before you buy rather than after.
What installation involves. Fitting usually takes under an hour with a local carpenter and requires cutting the door to accept the lock body if you are replacing a different type. It is not generally a do-it-yourself job unless you are comfortable with door hardware, because an inaccurate cut cannot be undone. Ask your carpenter to test the lock fully before finishing, checking that the latch aligns cleanly with the strike plate and that the door closes without being forced. Most operating complaints we hear trace back to alignment rather than the lock itself.
Battery power and load shedding. The lock runs on batteries rather than mains power, which is a genuine advantage in Pakistan. It continues working normally throughout load shedding, whereas a mains-powered access system needs a backup supply to do the same. The lock gives low-battery warnings well before power runs out, typically over a period of days, so there is ample time to replace cells. A sensible habit is to change batteries once a year regardless of warnings, in the same way you would with a smoke alarm.
Security considerations worth understanding. No lock is a complete security solution on its own. A strong lock on a weak door frame simply moves the weak point. If your frame is soft or the strike plate is fixed with short screws, ask your carpenter to fit longer screws into the frame timber while installing. For entrance doors on ground floors or accessible balconies, treat this lock as one layer alongside a door sensor or alarm rather than the only measure.
Comparing your options. Against a conventional key lock, this offers no copying risk and instant access removal, at the cost of needing batteries. Against a card-based system, it removes the problem of lost or shared cards, though cards remain better where you need many users and central logging. Against a fully networked access control system, this is far cheaper and needs no server, software, wiring, or internet, but it does not give you attendance reports or remote unlocking. For a single household door or a small office door, this standalone approach is usually the right balance.
Who should not buy this. If you need to manage dozens of doors from one place, generate staff attendance reports, or unlock doors remotely for visitors, a networked access control system is a better fit and we can quote one. If your door is exposed to direct heavy rain without any overhang, discuss placement with us first.
Maintenance and troubleshooting. Keep the fingerprint reader clean with a dry cloth, since dust and oil are the usual reason readings become slow. If a particular finger stops reading reliably, re-enrol it rather than pressing harder. If the lock feels stiff, the problem is nearly always door alignment shifting with seasonal humidity rather than a fault in the mechanism, and a carpenter can adjust the strike plate in minutes.
What happens if the battery dies completely? There is an emergency power option plus a mechanical key override supplied with the lock, so you are never locked out. Keep the override key somewhere outside the house, such as with a trusted relative, rather than inside the door it opens.
Can I remove someone’s access later? Yes. Delete their fingerprint from the administrator menu or change the PIN. There is no need to change the lock or call a locksmith.
How many fingerprints can be stored? Capacity is comfortably sufficient for a household or a small office team. Contact us for the exact figure on the current model, since specifications vary between production batches.
Is it suitable for a rented flat? Yes, and it can be removed and reinstalled if you move, provided the new door is of similar type. Many tenants take it with them and refit the original lock when leaving.
Does it work in Pakistani summer heat? Yes. Normal indoor and sheltered entrance conditions are within its operating range. Avoid mounting it where it will sit in direct afternoon sun with no shade at all.
Buying from ZZ Marts. Genuine stock is held at our Karachi (Saddar) and Lahore stores, with nationwide delivery across Pakistan, backed by over twenty years of security hardware experience trading as Zam Zam Traders since 2005. We would rather confirm fit before you order than process a return afterwards, so message us on WhatsApp with a photograph of your door and we will tell you honestly whether this lock suits it. If it does not, we will recommend something that does.
