Long SEO Product Description

The Super Scanner Handheld Metal Detector is a professional security screening device designed for fast and accurate detection of metallic objects. It is widely used for personal security checks, access control screening, and safety inspections.

This metal detector offers high sensitivity, allowing it to detect coins, knives, weapons, mobile phones, keys, and other concealed metal objects. When metal is detected, the device provides instant audio and vibration alerts, ensuring quick and clear identification.

Its ergonomic handheld design makes it ideal for continuous use in high-traffic environments. Built with a strong ABS body, the Super Scanner is suitable for airports, malls, schools, offices, events, prisons, courts, factories, and security checkpoints.

Detection & Alert System

  • Detection Type: Metal objects

  • Alert Mode: Sound + vibration

  • Sensitivity: High (professional security level)

Who uses handheld scanners. Handheld metal detectors are standard equipment at entrances to schools, colleges, offices, banks, hospitals, courts, mosques, shopping centres, event venues, and factory gates across Pakistan. Wherever a guard checks people entering a building, a handheld scanner turns that check from a visual guess into an actual screening. They are also used at exits in factories and warehouses where tool or component theft is a concern.

What it can and cannot detect. A metal detector finds metal. It will pick up knives, firearms, metal tools, and small metallic objects concealed under clothing. It will not detect non metallic items, so it is one layer of a screening process rather than a complete answer. Guards should combine the scan with observation and, where appropriate, bag checks. Being clear about this prevents the false confidence that comes from assuming a scanner catches everything.

Setting sensitivity correctly, the detail that decides whether it works. Sensitivity is adjustable and getting it right is the difference between a useful device and an abandoned one. Set too high, the unit alerts on belt buckles, keys, coins, watches, and mobile phones on every single person, so queues collapse and guards start ignoring alerts or switching the device off. Set too low, it misses what matters. The practical approach is to calibrate against what you are actually screening for, then instruct people to place phones, keys, and coins in a tray before scanning, which removes most nuisance alerts at source and speeds everything up.

How to sweep properly. Effective screening follows a consistent pattern: down the front of the torso, down the back, along both arms, down both legs, and around the waistband and ankles, holding the unit a few centimetres from the body and moving slowly enough for the detector to respond. This takes roughly ten seconds per person. Rushed, partial sweeps are the single biggest reason handheld scanners fail to find anything, and no amount of sensitivity adjustment compensates for a careless sweep. Train guards on the pattern and check periodically that they are still following it, because standards drift within weeks without supervision.

Managing throughput at busy entrances. Ten seconds per person means roughly six people a minute per guard under ideal conditions. Work out your peak arrival rate before deciding how many units and staff you need. A school with a thousand students arriving in twenty minutes cannot be screened by one guard with one wand, and pretending otherwise produces either dangerous shortcuts or an unmanageable queue at the gate. For high volume sites, pair handhelds with a walk through gate so the archway does primary screening and the handheld is used only for secondary checks on people who alert. That combination is far faster and far more consistent.

Battery life and continuous duty. Battery operation means the scanner keeps working through load shedding, which matters at gates where mains supply is unreliable. For all day use at a busy entrance, keep spare batteries or a second charged unit so screening never stops mid shift. Rechargeable cells work out considerably cheaper for daily high volume use than disposables.

Handling alerts professionally. Decide in advance what happens when the unit alerts, and make sure every guard follows the same procedure: ask the person to identify and remove the item, rescan the area, and escalate to a supervisor if the item is not identified or the person refuses. Female visitors and staff should be screened by a female guard where cultural expectations require it, and this needs planning into your staffing rather than being resolved awkwardly at the gate. Consistency also protects your guards, because a documented standard procedure is far easier to defend than individual judgement calls.

Durability and care. These units get dropped, left in sun, and used in dust. Keep them in a case when not in use, avoid leaving them on a hot dashboard or in direct afternoon sun for hours, and check the housing periodically for cracks that let dust in. Test each unit at the start of every shift with a known metal object so a dead or faulty scanner is discovered before screening starts, not after a full day of waving a non functioning wand at people.

Is it safe for pregnant women or people with pacemakers? Handheld detectors use low power fields and are in routine public use worldwide. Follow the guidance supplied with the unit, and where someone raises a concern, an alternative check is the sensible and courteous response.

How many units do I need? One per screening lane, plus at least one spare for busy sites so a flat battery or a fault never stops entry.

Can you supply in bulk? Yes. Quantities for schools, event security companies, factories, and security agencies can be quoted on request, and bulk pricing improves meaningfully with volume.

Do you also supply walk through gates? Yes, we stock walk through metal detector gates and turnstiles, which we can quote alongside handhelds for a complete entrance screening setup.

Buying from ZZ Marts. Available from our Karachi (Saddar) and Lahore stores with delivery Pakistan wide, supplied by Zam Zam Traders, trading in security equipment since 2005. Tell us your site type and peak arrival numbers and we will advise how many units you actually need and whether a walk through gate would serve you better.
