The Smart WiFi Smoke Detector is an essential safety device designed to protect your home and loved ones from fire hazards. Equipped with advanced smoke sensing technology, it quickly detects smoke and triggers a loud audible alarm while simultaneously sending instant notifications to your smartphone through the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app.
Unlike traditional smoke alarms, this smart detector keeps you connected even when you are away from home. Whether you’re at work, traveling, or asleep, you’ll receive real-time alerts in case of smoke detection, ensuring faster response and improved safety.
Its sleek, compact design allows easy ceiling installation in bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and apartments. Powered by batteries, it continues to operate even during power failures, making it a reliable 24/7 safety solution.
A perfect upgrade from conventional smoke alarms, this WiFi-enabled smoke detector brings smart protection to modern homes.
A smoke detector that also reaches your phone. This is a standalone battery powered smoke alarm with a loud built in siren, which additionally connects to WiFi and sends an alert through the Tuya or Smart Life app. The siren protects the people inside the building. The phone alert protects the building when nobody is inside it, which is the gap an ordinary smoke alarm cannot cover.
Why the app alert matters more than it sounds. A conventional smoke alarm screaming in an empty shop at two in the morning achieves very little. Most fire damage in commercial premises happens outside working hours, when there is nobody to hear the alarm and act on it. Getting a notification on your phone means you can call the fire service, alert a neighbour, or send someone to the premises while the fire is still small. For shopkeepers, warehouse owners, and anyone with a locked up business, this is the entire argument for a connected detector.
Where to install them. On the ceiling, centrally in the room where possible, since smoke rises and spreads across the ceiling. Cover escape routes such as hallways and stair landings first, then bedrooms and rooms containing electrical equipment. In a shop, cover the stock room and any area with wiring, chargers, or heating equipment.
Where NOT to install them, which matters just as much. Do not fit a smoke detector in a kitchen, directly outside a bathroom, in a dusty store room, or in a garage. Cooking fumes, steam, and dust all trigger smoke detectors repeatedly, and the predictable result is that someone removes the battery or takes the unit down. A disabled detector is more dangerous than no detector, because everyone assumes they are protected. For kitchens and dusty areas, use a heat detector instead, which responds to temperature rather than particles.
Battery operation and load shedding. Being battery powered, it keeps detecting through outages with no dependence on mains supply, which is exactly what you want from a fire detector in Pakistan. The trade off is that the WiFi notification needs your router to be running. During load shedding the alarm will still sound loudly at the premises, but the phone alert will not reach you unless the router is on a UPS. If you are fitting these to protect a business overnight, putting the router on backup power is the single change that makes the system actually do its job.
Testing, and the habit worth forming. Press the test button monthly. Replace the battery annually rather than waiting for the low battery chirp, in the same way you would with any life safety device. Vacuum dust off the detector every few months, since accumulated dust both reduces sensitivity and eventually causes false alarms. A detector that has never been tested is only assumed to work.
How many do you need? One per floor as an absolute minimum, and realistically one in each significant room or area. Fire spreads faster than most people expect, and a detector two rooms away buys you far less warning time. They are inexpensive relative to what they protect.
Standalone or connected to a panel? This unit works on its own and does not need an alarm panel, which makes it ideal for homes, flats, shops, and small offices. For larger commercial buildings that need zoned detection, manual call points, and sounders throughout, a conventional fire alarm panel with wired detectors is the appropriate system, and we stock those as well. Tell us your building size and we will say honestly which you need.
Working with other smart devices. Because it speaks Tuya, a smoke alert can trigger other devices through the Smart Life app, such as switching on lights to illuminate an escape route or sounding a separate Tuya siren elsewhere in the building.
Does it work without internet? Yes. The siren sounds locally regardless. Only the phone notification requires your connection to be up.
Can I use it in the kitchen? No. Use a heat detector there instead, or you will get constant false alarms and end up disabling it.
How long does the battery last? Extended operation under normal use, with a low battery warning. Replace annually as a habit rather than waiting for the warning.
Will it detect gas? No, this detects smoke. Ask us about combined CO and smoke detectors if you also want carbon monoxide detection.
